London Event Florist, beautiful flowers

Hello and a very happy and healthy 2018 from Kelly Russell Flowers.

It was a very busy end to 2017.  Many of you adorned your doors with one of my traditional christmas wreaths. This is always such a lovely start to christmas decorating.  Thank you to the lovely customers who came back this year and thank you to all of our lovely new customers.  We delivered some advent wreaths for the first time this year.  These are table decorations that are very traditional in countries such as Germany and Austria.  The arrangements have 4candles.  Each candle is lit the every Sunday from the first Sunday in December. We fully embraced this tradition ourselves this year and what a lovely tradition it is. We even found these arrangements to be as popular as normal christmas decorations. We ventured out into selling christmas decorations with hurricane lamps and candles. These were hugely popular so much so I didn’t really get round to advertising them formally.

We were fortunate to run 2 intimate wreath making and decorating workshops at the recently opened Borough Wines on Battersea Park Road. If you haven’t been and you love wine then you really should make a visit.  It’s such a lovely shop that we are fortunate to have in our area. They started as the name suggests at Borough market.  I had 2 lovely evenings spent with lovely ladies who made some really amazing wreaths whilst drinking mulled wine and prosecco. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did.

My lovely flower friend Ella from ‘Findmebytheflowers‘ asked me to help her with flowers for a bridal PR company at St martins lane hotel.  We met at the new covent garden flower market at 4.30am bought lots of lovely bridal blooms and foliage and then headed to the hotel suite where we set up the flowers with water  (some in a bath tub) and then made lovely little bridal bouquets to compliment the dresses that were being launched. Each of the press guests left with one of our bouquets.

I entered the world of photoshoots for the first time in November. A local catering company were keen to involve someone local in their autumn winter shoot. It was a privilege to supply some seasonal flowers in their chosen colour palette.

My wonderful friend Ben is currently launching his own food emporium . He held a lovely supper club in Balham at ‘Brother Marcus‘. For one night only it was Brother Ben at Brother Marcus! Ben wanted the tables to have a masculine feel to them.  No flowers! I trailed 2 x 6 meter garlands of beautiful Italian Eucalyptus down the 2 long tables.  It was such a pleasure. A fabulous evening of fabulous food, look out for the Shef Chef!

There have been birthday parties and dinner parties.  One that really stood out was a first birthday organised for a beautiful little girl. Lots of flowers to create a first floral birthday party. blush and cream and lots of roses.  Cake toppers, highchair garland and lots of flowers in urns, glass vases and bud vases.  Delightful.

I created 3 table arrangements for a PR dinner at the Ned Hotel in one of their private dinning areas. This was thanks again to my lovely friend Ella who was not able to supply the arrangements this time  I am not entirely sure the photos did this justice. New Year’s resolution to take better snaps!

I am really looking forward to a floral filled 2018, with many weddings and events already booked in I can’t wait!
